What was the last thing you learned how to do?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 03, 2009:

I learned to mind my own business and let others be and have the experience they are choosing to have; I am in the process of learning to be the source of my own happiness and to quit demanding others change so that I can be happy. barbara

I’m glad you’re learning that. :) I have people trying to push their ideas of how I should live my life on me.

How very wise, Barb.
And don’t sooo many parents and teachers at school try to change their of springs and students to a point that can totally rob that individual from ever truly seeing who they really are inside.  It is a diversion of that adult… to make it easier for themselves and not really appreciating the human gift and quality that they so have been blessed with in these little ones.  It is such a form of cruelty and a destruction to a soul that can take almost a life time to heal…if they are that lucky perhaps, from undoing the mess they had created!

I agree poeple should be able to live and make decisions for themselves. But often poeple are making decisions that effect not just themselves but others and society. When a decision is effecting others or society than others have the right to interferr in your life and your decisions.

Sometimes poeple need to have others opions and views expressed to them.

Ireally liked the part about being my own source of happiness.I think this is both an art and science which we need to learn and remember.

The art of allowing is a remarkable gift to exhibit.  Have you heard of the book “The Art of Allowing” and “Ask and it is Given” by Abraham through Esther and Jerry Hicks?  I’ll bet you’d like it.  Thanks for being a source of inspiration!

I have! I have “Ask and it is Given” along with their recent money book and I think I have the “Art of Allowing” or the “Art of Deliberate Intent” but I listen to some of their CDs and saw them this past November when they came to Washington DC. Many things they saw I have always “suspected” were true but never found others who thought like me until I heard them. barbara
