What's troubling you?

Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Labeling events or thoughts or feelings or situations as trouble is just another way of saying "problem." There are no problems . . . it is all just life. If I feel that there is any "trouble" then I only have to look to myself -- feeling troubled is an indicator that I am allowing events or others to pull me away from who I truly am.

You did it again, Barbara.  You hit the nail square on the head!

I like your philosophy,  it's something I need to be reminding myself of,  to simply act, not react.  Thanks for reminding me.  I would kick my own rear, I'm just afraid I'd hurt myself. Not really, It's been years since I've been that limber.  I need to ask Laurie about her Chinese exercises and try to do the routine, I seen it done and it's so graceful and beautiful.  Anyway,  good point, well taken!

Sandi -

You can go to your local library and check out several Tai Chi DVD's.  “Test drive” each one to find out which one you like best.  Once you've determined that, return all of the DVD's to the library, get on-line and order your favorite.  You will LOVE it!

Feeling troubled says that I think things are supposed to be a different way – this is not to say (as Yang indicates) that I should not try to create change. Certainly, if I see someone being hurt or abused and it is within my power to step in, I will create a change in that situation. Yin tells me to stay in harmony with what is and that is the only way to be aware of life's realities. Harmony is not necessarily agreement. Harmony is being one with all that is and listening for how it moves me. I think Tai Chi is a perfect exercise to gain the balance we all need to perfect our existence in this reality.

Barbara - I like the way you shared from both a yin (feminine energy) and yang (masculine energy) perspective, and then wrapped it up with, “I think Tai Chi is a perfect exercise to gain the balance we all need to perfect our existence in this reality.”

You rock!

Alright then, boogie on, move it! Move it!  Some days when I get out of bed it's all I can do to move it and keep breathing. LOL   Honestly, I do think I need to check out those DVD's.  My arthritis is the reason I keep on doing what I do long after the wanting to is gone.  I'm just afraid to give up and rust in place.

I plan to … ever since I started doing Kundalini Yoga and Pilates and getting a Thai Yoga massage once a month, everything has improved
